BTK Group to Launch New Knitwear Manufacturing Facility in South Ossetia
The Acting Head of the Republic, alongside the First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation, Sergey Kiriyenko, and the owner of the BTK Group, Taimuraz Bolloev, visited the "BTK-4" sewing factory in Tskhinvali.
Previously, the workforce had addressed the Acting President regarding the issue of insufficient production capacity utilization. According to Kambolov, this matter was promptly resolved in cooperation with Russian colleagues, and the enterprise's capacities are now fully utilized. During that same visit, the Acting President proposed that Taimuraz Bolloev consider the possibility of expanding production operations in South Ossetia.
"The company has already made the decision to open a new division in the republic—a knitting factory. This will require a separate site and new equipment, which is expected to arrive in the coming months. We will now jointly determine which district of the republic is best suited to host this production facility," Kambolov wrote on his Telegram channel.
For the republic, such an enterprise means the creation of new jobs, increased utilization of local businesses, and another opportunity to develop domestic industry, Kambolov noted.
"This is exactly how our work should be structured: we listen to the people, resolve a specific problem, and immediately plan the next step," he emphasized.
